Scam type
Wallet drainers & phishing
Malicious links, fake airdrops, or approvals that drain your wallet in a single transaction.
Wallet drainers trick you into signing a malicious transaction or approval — often via a fake airdrop, mint, or support message — that lets the attacker move your assets out.
How it works
You connect your wallet to a malicious site and approve what looks like a routine transaction. That approval gives the attacker permission to transfer your tokens.
Warning signs
- Unexpected airdrop, mint, or "claim" prompts
- Support agents who DM you first and ask you to connect a wallet
- Requests to sign approvals you did not initiate
- Urgency to act before you "miss out"
- Assets leaving your wallet right after connecting to a site
